Murano, City of Glass

Next Moves

To begin rebuilding our operations we must start at the beginning by undermining our enemies. We have identified 3 territories we wish to reclaim.

The Pit – Operation Black Pawn

This area is Darwinism at its finest, an all-out gang warzone of continual fighting. However recently one gang has begun to establish dominance, a previously unprecedented event, seemingly through inhuman levels of strength.
Your mission is simple – investigate and take any appropriate action to ensure our interests are foremost there.

Janx Heights – Operation Rigorous Monarchy

This area is controlled by a single band, surprisingly high tech but focused around 2 individuals. Our analysis shows that if the leaders are removed, the gang will fragment into civil war. This would be to our advantage. Your task is to ensure this happens without it being traced back to you or us.

The Valkeran’s Enclave – Operations Zealous Apostle

Until very recently this was a simple, stable, affluent neighbourhood. Then, almost overnight it has become a strongly religious compound with extreme secrecy and loyalty shown towards the leaders of the new Church of Humanity Ascendant. These leaders are known as the prefecture. We want to know how this is being done; infiltrate the compound and steal the church’s secrets. Our house and you will profit greatly from this information.

So auxiliaries, where do you wish to start?

Greetings Auxiliaries

The loss of the C6 has been disastrous to our interests. We are reeling from the devastation wrought by our enemies. There have been outbreaks of seemingly random violence throughout the city that are in fact targeted to remove our assets and destroy years of work.

No-one associated with us is safe; none of our secrets are secure. To begin rebuilding our operation we need to start from scratch using people who are not from our noble house.

Murano is like a chessboard; everyone is playing and moving pieces to gain an advantage, however fleeting. Welcome to the great game, be careful when you move……my pawns.

Prelude - Opening Moves

Tasked with guarding the secret meeting of the C6, a group of Murano’s leading minds and cyberneticists, our auxiliaries supervised a crew of human corporate guards and set about securing their stronghold. Sealing the doors once their guests arrived, attacks began from the most unusual places.

The human guards were lost when hackers removed the oxygen from the air systems. The doors were breached by brute force by a pure human group called Humans First.

With the focus on fighting off the mass invaders, it was only by luck that the deeper subterfuge was unveiled. Stumbling into the mesh hub in the basement one of the auxiliaries discovered the real threat; an augmented infiltrator. Confronting this intruder he revealed a chilling message:

“This is only the beginning”

Then the bomb detonated. When they come round the building was rubble, the C6 were gone and this was only the beginning…

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
